Basic Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Training Course

The National Police Commission Regional Office No. 1 has conducted Basic Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Training Course for Security Officer I (SO1) with Training of Trainers on August 20, 2020. The participants were composed of 20 police officers from each province of the region, two government employees from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), five personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) La Union Chapter, and several NAPOLCOM Region 1 employee.
Dir. Ramon M. Rañeses, Staff Service Chief, Personnel and Administrative Service, NAPOLCOM Central Office, served as the Guest of Honor. He highlighted the relevance of having knowledge of basic safety. He explained that having such knowledge will not just be helpful in one’s occupation but as well as to his/her daily life.
The discussion proper was conducted by LTC Enrico Moreno Bautista, OSH Practitioner, and an Executive Director of Construction Safety Foundation Inc. There was a pre-test examination for the participants to gauge the level of their knowledge on the said topic. Afterward, a post-test examination was conducted to determine if there was an improvement in their understanding of the Basic Occupational Safety and Health.
