Launching of Case Managers’ Training (CMT)


With the end view of capacitating the PNP and the employees of NAPOLCOM Regional Office 1, it has conceptualized a training program entitled “Case Managers Training” or the CMT which is designed to relate case management to court and other disciplinary bodies of the Philippine National Police (PNP), provide an extensive understanding and empower the participants on the importance and value of effective case management.

The CMT aims to widen the knowledge/understanding of the participants on the concept of the Criminal Justice System, Administrative and Criminal Procedure and Case Handling as these involve government entities and the general public.

The Regional Office 1 launched its initiated program on CMT on 14 October 2020 participated by various government agencies particularly PAF, PDEA R1, BJMP, NBI, DILG, DMMMSU, DBM, PCG, LTFRB, COA, UCU, DepED and NGCP as well as 106 Police Officers of the PRO 1 and the City/Municipal Police Stations.  The launching started at 9:10 A.M.

Ms. Cecile Joy C. Ofiana acknowledged the participants in the launching of the program. Atty. Mary Hazel G. Bela-o, the Chief of the Legal Affairs Unit and Provincial Officer for La Union warmly welcomed said participants.  Atty. Allan D. Ancheta, Technical Services Division Chief introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Dir. Manuel L. Pontanal, Regional Director of NAPOLCOM Region 2 delivered his inspiring and keynote message. The presentation of the rationale and mechanics of the program was presented by Ms. Mary Jane C. Cacanindin. She also announced the upcoming activities or trainings of the Regional Office to include Confidential Background Investigation Training (CBIT) and the Financial Investigators Training (FIT) which will be launched on October 21, 2020 and November 2020, respectively. She underscored that the CBIT is a joint undertaking with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Regional Office 1, while the FIT is in collaboration with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).

Atty. Monday R. Samson, NAPOLCOM RO1 Regional Director expressed his appreciation to the Guest of Honor and Speaker and to the participants. He had high hopes that the Regional Office will help in building capacities as Case Managers.
