Atty. Allan D. Ancheta, Chief, Technical Services Division, and Atty. Mary Hazel D. Gavina- Bela-o, Chief, Legal Affairs Unit and Provincial Officer for La Union, served as Resource Speakers at the Crime Prevention and Control Symposium and Information Drive on September 14, 2022, at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Mid-La Union Campus. Atty. Ancheta and Atty. Bela-o discussed the salient provisions of RA 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2022” and RA 11313 of the “Safe Spaces Act”, respectively.
The symposium and information drive with the theme “Safety and Security is the Concern of Everybody” was spearheaded by the Institute of Criminal Justice Education, Student Crime and Accident Prevention Council in celebration of the annual National Crime Prevention Month. It was attended by the Head of the Criminology department, teachers, and officers of the Student Crime and Accident Prevention Council, and 130 graduating and 3rd-year Criminology students of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Mid-La Union Campus.
