The Intelligence Analyst Program (IAP) is a joint project of NAPOLCOM, and Military Intelligence Group 1-Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (MIG1-ISAFP) designed to provide NAPOLCOM Personnel in particular, and all participants, in general, the importance in understanding what Intelligence Analysis is so that they can be an effective and efficient Intelligence Analysts.  An Intelligence Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and recording information that assists with improving security practices within an organization or institution.

This program provided basic analytic skills necessary to produce basic, logically sound, and descriptive intelligence analysis to NAPOLCOM Personnel who would be Intelligence Analyst.

The conduct of the Graduation Rites of IAP Class 01-2020 “Matalinghaga” was held on October 9, 2020 at NAPOLCOM Conference Room Regional Office 1, Government Center, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union and through the video conferencing using the Zoom Application for the participants assigned in the different government offices/agencies.

The IAP Class 01-2020 covered the period of August 13, 2020 to October 9, 2020, with a credit of 320 hours of instruction. Said activity was initiated by the undersigned as the Training Manager, in partnership with MIG1 – IASFP headed by LTC Rey C Rico as the Course Director. Hon. Felizardo M. Serapio, Jr, NAPOLCOM Commissioner, was the Guest of Honor and Speaker of said activity.

For the declaration of graduates, Atty. Monday R. Samson, NAPOKCOM RO1 Regional Director presented the one hundred seven (107) out of one hundred nineteen (119) participants to LTC Rey C Rico who declared and accepted the graduates.

Special awards were given to graduates for their exemplary performance, academic and non-academic, during the course, namely: 1) Commander Laurel Paul N Mariano Jr of PCG Ilocos Norte with 95%; 2) Atty. Arlene Castro-Co of NAPOLCOM R3, Mr. Narlito A. Urgel of NBI and Mr. Arnel D. Antonio of NAPOLCOM R5 with 94%; and 3) Lt JG Stephany Licyayo of PCG and Ens Marivic C Cardines of PCG Ilocos Norte with 93%. The Outstanding Performing Team Award was given to Team 4 of the course.

Hon. Felizardo M. Serapio, Jr., Commissioner of NAPOLCOM, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, highlighted in his speech the role of Intelligence Analyst and impact of COVID-19 pandemic to the world and the economy. He also congratulated everyone for the successful activity.
