NAPOLCOM RO1 celebrates 26th Police-Community Relations Month


Presidential Proclamation No. 764 signed on January 24, 2005 declares the month of July every year as Police Community Relations Month (PCR). “Pulisya at Pamayanan, BARANGAYanihan sa Hamon ng Pandemya at Laban sa Krimen”, is the theme for the 26th PCR Month. This year’s celebration aims to develop a closer interaction between the community and the police in handling and maintaining peace and order amidst CoVID-19 pandemic which posed both challenges and opportunities for the PNP and the community.

The Simultaneous Kick-off was graced by the National Police Commission Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Vitaliano N. Aguirre II as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the 26th PCR Month Celebration Kick-off Ceremony on July 5, 2021 at the NHQ Building, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City. Vice Chairman Aguirre was accompanied by Chief PNP PDG Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar in the various activities to jumpstart the month-long celebration.

Subsequently, the Regional Office 1 led by Atty. Monday R Samson, Regional Director as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, represented by Atty. Mary Hazel G. Bela-o, Chief of Legal Affairs Unit and Provincial Officer for La Union together with Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1), headed by PBGen Emmanuel B Peralta, Regional Director, led the simultaneous kick-off ceremony which coincide with the Traditional Flag Raising Ceremony held at Camp BGen Oscar M Florendo, City of San Fernando, La Union on 5 July 2021.

The awarding of plaque of recognition was given to the stakeholders who greatly contributed and supported the PNP programs and projects was highlighted during said ceremony.
