NAPOLCOM RO1 launches FACT Batch 2


The FACT (Forensic, Arson and Correctional Training) for Batch 2 is an initiated program of National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Regional Office 1 that aims to widen the knowledge/understanding of the participants on the concepts of Forensic Investigation, Arson Investigation Guide and Procedures, and Basic Concepts of Correctional.

This program is conducted on an online modular method with a span of one (1) month covering three (3) modules, and a short examination every after module.

The Regional Office launched this initiated program on 25 January 2021 at 1 PM which was participated by 126 participants from various government agencies to include 37 members of the Philippine National Police, Police Regional Office 1 and the City/Municipal Police Stations, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Regional Office 1, Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office 1, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office 1, National Bureau of Investigation Regional Office 1, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office 1, Philippine Air Force, Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Army, and Philippine Coast Guard.

During the launching program, Ms. Cecile Joy C. Ofiana led the invocation followed by the acknowledgement of participants by Ms. Kristina Luisa R. Mendoza, Law Enforcement and Evaluation Officer II. Atty. Allan D. Ancheta, Chief of Technical Services Division formally welcomed the participants and delivered his short message. After which, Ms. Mary Jane C. Cacanindin, Police Inspector IV introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, PBGen Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1 represented by PLtCol Relly B Arnedo, Acting Chief of Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division.

In his speech, PLtCol Arnedo thanked the NAPOLCOM Regional Office 1 led by Atty. Monday R. Samson, DHumL, EdD, CESE for taking the lead in the professional development of the uniformed personnel especially the police personnel. Ms. Liberty E. Abenes, Police Inspector III then presented the rationale and mechanics of the program.
