PO Ilocos Sur conducts 2nd Quarter Dialogue with all Ilocos Sur COPs
The NAPOLCOM Provincial Office of Ilocos Sur headed by Atty. Joseph O. Apolonio, Provincial Officer for Ilocos Sur, has successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Dialogue with all Chiefs of Police (COPs) in the Province of Ilocos Sur on May 25, 2022 through Zoom application. The activity was designed to provide updates on the office’s pertinent announcements, programs and services relative to PNP operations and to give room for necessary concerns and issues to be discussed and addressed properly which are affecting the police service in general. Moreover, a Brief Introduction to Student Crime Prevention Committee (SCPC) and Community Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) System Orientation were also presented, respectively.
In continuation, a separate lecture on ‘Mental Health Talk: Psychological and Mental Health First Aids & Self-Care Strategies’ was also conducted by Ms. Richelle Mae F. Ocampo, Registered Psychometrician. The aforementioned lecture was organized as part of the widest campaign on mental health among police officers as they are susceptible to experiencing mental health problems in this time of crisis and constraints and direct support of the Provincial Office in promoting health and wellness among the PNP members of the Province of Ilocos Sur.
